From now on, University of Bremen and b-novative GmbH Bremen are under contract in order to cooperate on the daVinci technology. b-novative is responsible for all marketing, sale and service activities and has supported us since last year to develop the next version of daVinci which will be announced very soon (no details available at this time!). The primary reason for this cooperation is to overcome stagnation caused by shortages and to enable future development by both partners to keep up with new technology.
The good news is that two important figures in the history of daVinci are among the founders and managers of b-novative: Michael Fröhlich, the other "father" of daVinci who has left University of Bremen three years ago and Jörn von Holten, the inventor of the programming language daVinci is written in. With our joined work force, you can expect exciting new products in the future.
There will be a new business model starting with the daVinci V2.1 successor (which will have a new brand name). More information is available on the b-novative web site. To reassure you, commercial users can order the product for an attractive price and universities will still have free access for research purposes. For the people who cannot agree to the new conditions, the current daVinci V2.1 will be unsupported, but available from our site for an unlimited time. All questions regarding the new product should be directed to b-novative. Our web site at http://www.tzi.de/daVinci/ will be no longer maintained after the final announcement of the next daVinci version, so all the news can be found at:

It is not allowed to transfer your personal e-mail address to b-novative, so we will close our daVinci announce mailinglist and ask you to subscribe on b-novative's mailinglist by writing an e-mail to mailinglist@b-novative.com, subject: "subscribe daVinci".
