Louis Vuitton Best Humanoid Award

Since 2002, Louis Vuitton has sponsored the “Louis Vuitton Humanoid Cup” for RoboCup, an international research and educational initiative for artificial intelligence and robotics with a focus on soccer-playing robots. The Humanoid League was added to the RoboCupSoccer event in 2002. Louis Vuitton has created a championship trophy for this program in order to, by aiming to promote development of robots capable of competing against a human team by the year 2050, encourage technological innovation.

Louis Vuitton Humanoid Cup

The “Louis Vuitton Humanoid Cup” to be presented to the champion team of the Humanoid League is a crystal globe crafted by Baccarat, the world’s leading crystal maker, presented in a custom-made Louis Vuitton Monogram canvas hard case with a red lining. The award winning team is entitled to hold the Cup for a year until the next winner shall be determined at the following RoboCup World Championship event. The Cup itself will carry around to the subsequent winning teams until 2050.
